Health and Wellness updates from Center For Health

Supporting patients since 1983
Dear Patients and Friends

While we were treating patients here at the Yucca Valley office last week, we heard from a lot of our patients how challenged, overwhelmed and stressed they are during these uncertain times. I try to assure them that it is a normal response of the human brain to the upheaval of what most of us considered a safe world.

So how do we get the brain to feel more settled and calm? There is plenty of research showing that the practice of gratitude can have a profound effect on our state of being:
“Gratitude turns what we have into enough.”

I started out my morning today reflecting on this saying.
I stepped outside and observed the world around me: the sun was coming up over the horizon, some Quails and Pigeons were at the watering hole, a rabbit next to them, a mild, cool breeze in the air. Spring is coming!

It moved my soul and I felt grateful.

I am grateful to all of you, our patients and community here in the High Desert.
And I want to share this gratitude with you. Over the last week we gave away free bottles of vitamin C to our patients to keep their immune system up.
And this may be the craziest thing you may have heard this weekend- we do have Toilet Paper and are giving it to patients that have none.

We will continue this during the next week, as long as we have it in stock.

Please be well.

And today, when you are worried and want to look at your cellphone for updates on the crisis- take a moment and instead look at the sky, the flowers, your family instead and experience Gratitude.

It will soothe your soul!
